(Original) What is the difference between forgetfulness, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease?
It's hard to convey what our experience with Modena has meant to our entire family. My mom had been in poor health for several years and spent her final year at Modena after moving from the Midwest to be closer to her kids and grandkids. It was truly the most beautiful last chapter we could have imagined for her. The warmth, care, compassion, humor, and genuine love she felt from all of the staff was palpable. Not to mention the fact that Janet and Elena did everything they possibly could to ensure she could safely live there as long as possible (despite her complex medical conditions). The apartments are light-filled and spacious, the service, programming, and amenities (and food!) are amazing, and the entire building is so beautiful, calming, and welcoming (even to my rambunctious little kids who loved to come for visits). By far though the best part is the people, who are some of the most incredible, kind, and loving I've ever come across. We could not have been luckier to have found Modena.

My mom spent the last 2.5 months of her life at Modena. I can't say enough about the professionalism of the entire staff. The facility is absolutely beautiful and feels like a high-end apartment/hotel. The care my mom received was exceptional and my only regret is that I wish she would have been there for a few more years to enjoy Modena. This place is a gem and is run by an extremely caring staff. Would not hesitate to recommend this assisted living facility for your loved ones.
